Sanyu

Sanyu is a good daughter, a good sibling, a great friend, and strives to be a good human being under all circumstances. Despite being only 17 years old, she is wise beyond her years. Although some may consider her a little boring, life has taught Sanyu to smile through the most trying circumstances. There isn’t a Sunday where you won’t find God-fearing Sanyu at the local church. God has been her friend and guide ever since she lost her mother at a young age. After her father’s remarriage, Sanyu has had to live with an overbearing stepmother and two stepsiblings. Her warm nature has made her accept them as family even though they have never truly been able to accept her. She is very family-oriented and would do anything for them. In fact, her ultimate goal in life is to succeed not only for herself but so she can give her family a better life. Since she has had no one to really share her secrets or emotions with, she has learned to keep them to herself and rarely gives herself time to reflect on the same. Her stepmom has made her believe that looking after her was a favour – and for that, she has been ever-grateful.
