Francine and Iminathi get into a huge physical fight over the re-appearance of Francince's biological mother and Joyce decides to send her back to the orphanage because she will not risk losing Iminathi.

Ntokozo follows up with the rehab centre where 20 girls were sent by the NGO but finds out the number leads to an old age home instead. When she tells Lungelo he conveniently has the correct number for the rehab centre.

After being sabotaged by her step-sister, Iminathi goes snooping in Francine's room and finds the journals where she has been hiding her deepest darkest hateful thought. The sisters get into a fight and Joyce is forced to intervene.

Iminathi disturbs an intimate mother-daughter moment between Joyce and Francine when she tells them that Francine's mother is alive and she met her at the office earlier.

Francine is once again pushed aside when Iminathis has a big presentation to work on with her boss Lungelo and her mother, Joyce offers to help. To get her revenge, Francin turns off Iminathi's alarm for her big day and pours water on her laptop.

Joyce hands Ntokozo papers to have her name changed to Iminathi Khaphayi in a speech that lead Francine to believe she was finally being adopted after 15 years. When Joyce tries to comfort her, Fran is inconsolable in her disappointment.

Joyce intercepts Godfrey's final call to Iminathi before he suddenly and tragically passes away. Francine overhears her telling him to stay away from Iminathi and asks her to keep that secret forever.
