In honour of their Instant Restaurant, Relish the Thyme, we'd love to share some of the Indian terms used for these fine ingredients.

Dhania aka coriander/cilantro
The must-have herb in every kitchen. Every good dish becomes great once you garnish it with some dhania, especially when you're getting ready to prepare a lovely curry.
Manja/haldi/arad aka turmeric
This spice adds rich colour, aroma, and flavour to most Indian dishes. Warm up some milk and honey, stir in, and enjoy the perfect drink.
Sabja seeds/falooda seeds aka basil seeds
Sabja seeds closely resemble chia seeds and can be used in a variety of drinks, shakes, and desserts. It also has great health benefits.
Puli/imli aka tamarind
Known for its rich colour and tangy flavour, tamarind is often used to create unique sauces, chutneys, or a base for many curries and other exotic dishes.
Elaichi aka cardamon
This spice is known for its very strong flavour and is used in both savoury and sweet Indian dishes. It also aids in indigestion.Â

Jeera aka cumin
Jeera releases immense flavours when fried and brings together the perfect Indian dish. It is also used to bring unique taste in baking and savoury Indian snacks.
