Back with a bang
Innocent Sadiki lifts the veil on returning to Pastors’ Wives, being a social media influencer and the next chapter in her life.
After a hiatus from Season 2 of HONEY’s (DStv Channel 173) reality series Pastors’ Wives, actress and social media influencer Innocent Sadiki rejoins Season 3 as main cast member.
She is back in time as there is drama brewing such as the tension between Nandipha Mlombi and Adeola Da Costa Ayo, and the beef between Tshidi Motlhose and the other wives. Let’s just say, there’s a lot to unpack. We caught up with Innocent to discuss her return to Pastors’ Wives and what she was up to during her break.
Why did you return to Season 3 after skipping the previous season?
Coming back was not my plan, but I guess it was destiny. I said to myself, if it is meant for me to be in Season 3, then [the producers] will call me – and they did.
If you could set one thing straight from Season 1, what would it be and why?
I’m not perfect, and I’ll never be. I’m a work in progress. My assignment here and on Earth is to fulfil a purpose and not to please people. My faith is my priority and that’s why I’m invested in growing every day.
How has your life changed since being in the public eye?
I’ve been in the industry for about 10 years now and my life has changed for the better in all ways possible. I can confidently stand on any platform and be heard because of my reputation. I consider myself blessed to do what I love. It is destiny, how can I not be grateful? My life continues to be a humbling experience.
People have a lot to say about you and your family online. How has Pastors’ Wives affected your husband’s ministry?
My husband’s ministry is standing on solid ground. The show has neither helped nor hurt the ministry.
What are you excited about for this season?
I can’t wait for the world to see the true and real Innocent: The preacher, influencer, actor, entrepreneur and mother. I’m excited to inspire every young and old pastors' wives out there.
What’s next for you?
How much time do you have? There’s a lot [Laughs]. I’ll mention a few projects that are in the pipelines. I’m getting ready to travel around Africa through my ministry and I’m also looking forward to building partnerships with global partners.
