Sometimes it’s a samp and beans night and you’re done. But after 2 long lockdown years, South Africa is slowly getting back into the party spirit. And if you want to shower everyone you love with flavour, heart and beauty, Chef Nthabiseng “Nti” Ramaboai is beckoning you into her kitchen.
In Celebrate With Chef Nti Season 1, the Street Food In Africa Chef is leaving food carts and simple snacks behind to go all-out for holiday food for Easter and Christmas, family celebrations, weddings and parties. It’s not just enough to taste great, these dishes must dazzle! And Chef Nti is going to show us how.
Chef Nti: It’s a celebration!
Chef Nti has been showcasing her take on traditional African meals in Taste Kitchen since 2018, so viewers can expect a real taste of the continent, with favourite celebration dishes like Jollof Rice. But we’re also getting a trip around the world for the travel-starved with some of Chef Nti’s tributes to international cuisine like Chicken Parmesan and Creamy Polenta, Cheesy Mushroom Arrancinnis, Greek Sheet Pan Chicken, Lobster Sorghum Risotto, Mediterranean Feta And Fresh Tomato Tart, Aubergine Caponata With Cannellini, Ground Chicken Wonton Soup, Teriyaki-Glazed Salmon, Avo & Cucumber with Crunch and Spanish Cod In One Pot.
Then when you want something sweet and pretty, Chef Nti rustles up Pecan and Cinnamon Monkey Bread, Strawberry Daiquiri Trifle, Raspberry Tartlets and Summer Sun Tea. It’s all perfect for sharing, with heart, soul and love.
