Starting July 14, Mzansi Wethu (DStv channel 163) will air Vuka Mjita, a new show where men openly and vulnerably express their feelings.
Hosted by Mondli Makhoba, also known as Bhut’Omdala (The Wife, Shaka Ilembe), Vuka Mjita aims to guide men on a therapeutic journey to break emotional barriers and promote healing, while also nurturing and addressing the mental well-being of men, encouraging them to reflect on their roles in their families and society.
"This show is like being part of a journey to ‘empower’ men and we are looking at it as giving a platform to help understand, nurturing and try to heal the mental state of our brothers and sons where it’s needed," says Shirley Adonisi, Director of Local Entertainment Channels.
Each episode features a therapy session designed by Clinical Psychologist & Author Thabang Tlaka, where different men confront their challenges and fears with professional guidance.
Bhut’Omdala emphasizes, "Kuwumsebenzi wethu to find out why we exist, for there is a bigger purpose."
Tune in to Mzansi Wethu (DStv Channel 163) from Sunday, July 14 at 8pm to witness men in modern society seeking purpose and healing through emotional expression.
