5 August 2022, Lusaka: Superstar rapper Bomb$hell Grenade and award-winning model Mercy Mukwiza are dropping a hot collaboration – the two are starring in an edgy new reality show, Royal Qlique, premiering on Zambezi Magic.
Rounding off the show’s cast are celebrity fitness instructor Xarah and rapper-slash-model Ivanka Bianca. The series will air every Sunday at 20h00, starting on 4 September.
Executive produced by Raydo, Royal Qlique takes viewers behind the glitz, glamour and scandal of living in the Zambian public eye as a fierce young woman today. Who are the divas behind the headlines, and how do their friendships with each other ground, grow and sometimes agitate them?
With a diverse mix of personalities, big dreams and bigger bags in tow, the dynamic drama of Royal Qlique will certainly spice up your Sunday nights.
Bringing a different kind of drama is fan favourite Ubuntu, which returns for a fourth season on 26 September, and will air every Monday to Wednesday at 21h30.
Set to be its most riveting season yet, we see Queen Thandiwena (played by Chichi Daisy Lusumpa) – who has fought off many threats before – take on the most dangerous one yet.
An elusive and manipulative serial killer is on the hunt, terrorising the kingdom: abducting and killing women, and leaving similar clue-like objects at every crime scene. Soon, fear encrypts into the hearts and minds of the queen and her people – especially as it quickly becomes clear that the killer is among them.
Meanwhile, the sacred forests of Ubuntu are now vulnerable, at the hands of a selfish and ruthless politician. Will the kingdom restore order and preserve its legacy? More importantly, will anyone still be alive to ensure this, or will the serial killer be stopped before they cause irreversible damage?
There’s only one way to find out – tune in to Ubuntu for its highly-anticipated season 4.
This is what Channel head Mosibudi Pheeha says about the exciting new content slate on Zambezi Magic: “While we are the home of premium, proudly local entertainment, we are not resting on our laurels – that’s why we’re excited to present an exciting new reality show, Royal Qlique, to our audience.
