After the end of Amooye season two, one can only imagine how Noni, Mutale and Wiza’s lives turn out after dabbling in a series of dangerous and traumatising events.
As much as we wouldn’t want to be instruments or witnesses to crimes, there are some vital life lessons we can pick up from the upcoming season, which promises to be full of them.
❗️ SPOILER ALERT❗️
Here are some of the interesting lessons we are excited to pick up from the upcoming season of Amooye:
- We learn of the contrast between the “Old” and the “New” as characters navigate and challenge traditional societal practices. Remember when Mutale’s sister-in-law was surprised to see that Mutale didn’t bend over backwards for her husband like the traditional woman does? Expect more of that and see the emergence of social media success overshadowing the need for a college degree. We are not saying a college degree is not important, but Amooye shows us the different and digitised way millennials are chasing after life and its perks.
- In a fast-changing world, the young such as Sepo, Noni’s sister, struggle to find their identity while honoring traditional values enforced by parents. Just as we watched Noni’s life spiral at the hands of her parents in the previous two seasons, we are interested to see how her younger sister’s life shapes up.
- We will learn a lot about love and how it is approached at different levels; dating, marriage and divorce. Amooye promises to keep the same tone of drama as previous seasons where relationships are concerned. For now, we wonder who will find new love, rekindle old love or even fall in love with the wrong person?
- At the end of the day, the main goal for the characters of Amooye is survival; to survive trouble, chaos, disappointment and all life-threatening events that may come their way. They will do whatever it takes to make sure they see another day.
These are some of the profound lessons and reasons why we can’t wait to tune into the all-new season of Amooye this February!
Make sure you mark your calendars because the drama in Amooye kicks off on Monday 24 January 2022 at 21.30hrs, right here on Zambezi Magic DStv Channel 162 and GOtv Supa Channel 5
