If you have not heard the news of Pearl Magic Prime's latest offering, The Salvado Show, where have you been?

Patrick Salvado, Uganda's renowned comedian, has bagged a prime time slot every Sunday at 8 pm starting on the 3rd of April 2022.

So let us look at who this man from Ombokolo is.

* Patrick Salvado came into the spotlight after being the first runner-up at Multichoice Africa's installation of Stand-Up Uganda.

That was the beginning of what is now a decorated career spanning over a decade.
 

* His name is Patrick Idringi born to a father from the Koboko district and a mother of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The name Salvado is a nickname he received after telling a joke about how a woman mistook him for a fictional character called Salvado.

*He has highlighted his comic skills in three-quarters of the continent, West, East, and Southern Africa.

In 2013, he headlined the Stand-Up Africa show in South Africa and was also the organiser of the first Africa Laughs comedy show in Uganda.

He also became part of the Glo Laffta Fest Comedy Tour in Nigeria before moving to Ghana for his Night of 1017 Laughs.

Rwanda, Malawi and Kenya, and many other countries on the continent have also had a taste of his comic relief.

* He is no stranger to international stages either!

In 2015, Salvado performed at the Basketmouth Manchester Show in Manchester, a comedy show by Nigeria's Basket Mouth.

In 2017, he pulled a crowd at the famous Wembley Arena when he did his Lord of the Rings show.

He has also shared stages with famous dancehall artists like Sean Paul, Sean Kingston, and Shaggy.

* Behind the jokes is a philanthropist

Salvado is a king of comedy, but there is more to him than making people laugh. This father of three is passionate about helping the underprivileged. In 2017 he formed Dawa Foundation, intending to help kids from less privileged homes.

He also donated the proceedings of his Man from Ombokolo 2 to a home for disabled children in 2018.

With such a decorated career, there is no doubt Sundays are about to change with his presence on screen.
