We know her as Chelsea on Prestige, but Evelyn is a former beauty queen and Prestige is her first TV role. We caught up with her and we got to understand how she goes about her day before we see her on our screens as Chelsea.

What time do you wake up and what is your morning routine like?
I wake up at 5:30am, thank God for another day, then pick out my outfit for the day. I then get ready for work. I usually catch breakfast at work, so I only grab a glass of juice then head out. My favourite breakfast is katogo with avocado, well-spiced African tea and delicious fruit, pineapple preferbly

Are you a morning person or would rather have a cup of coffee first before you talk to anyone?
Yes, I am a morning person. I don’t wake up moody or anything.

What’s the one thing you never miss before you step out of the house?
Wearing my perfume. Oh, yes! I love smelling good.

What are you known for on set?
I am known for switching my lines when I am hungry. Also, I always learn my lines the previous night so when I get to set, all I need to do is just revise them with my fellow actors.

What’s the one thing you always take with you on set?
I carry juice and some snacks. My my favourite food on set is rice, matooke, nuts and chicken.

What’s the first thing you do when you get home from work?
I immediately take off my makeup when I get home. I have a skincare routine that I swear by. Once I am done with that, I refresh then relax.

Do you watch yourself on TV?
Oh, yes! I watch myself on TV. I love watching myself because it helps me grow since I get to see what I need to change and what I could have done better.

What’s your favourite meal to cook?
I love cooking rice and liver.

Please share with us what you’ll never go to bed without doing.
I will never go to bed without rehearsing the scenes I am shooting the next day.

Secondly, checking my social media, setting the alarm for the next day, then of course praying.

Lastly, how has your experience on Prestige been?
Prestige being my very first acting gig, has been full of lessons. I have learnt a lot of things and I   believe in myself even more. In short, my experience on Prestige has been great.

Are there any similarities between you and Chelsea?
Chelsea and Evelyn have a lot in common! They both love working to the point of ignoring their social lives. They are both kind, caring and loving.

If you were to be Chelsea for a day, what would you add/change about her?
I would make her love and understand her father, at least for once.
