Their chemistry is undeniable.

But that hasn’t stopped Khutso and Litsoanelo’s marriage from going through the ups and downs that are common in any marriage. And while affectionate kisses and attraction goes a long in the honeymoon stages of wedded bliss, it’s not enough to keep issues from coming to the surface. For the next three months after the couple said their ‘I do’’s within minutes of meeting each other, a number of issues emerged that posed challenges for the viability of their matrimonial journey.

On the one hand, Khutso and Litsoanelo (affectionaly known as ‘Dee’) have desplayed beautiful chemistry on Married At First Sight Mzansi. However, it didn’t take long before cracks began to show to show in their lovely garden of blissful romance. Despite their initial spark, navigating the complexities of blending families has proven challenging for the pair.

The couple’s struggle to balance their new marriage with co-parenting children from previous relationships has intensified their issues. Khutsio has expressed concerns about Dee’s close connection with her ex-partner, feeling that the frequent contact disrupts their own relationship. This tension reached a peak when an argument erupted over a Facetime call Dee had with her ex, leaving Khutso feeling sidelined and frustrated.

The situation was further complicated by Dee’s emotional responses to her ex’s influence on their lives.

Khutso became increasingly unsettled by ’s mood swings, which often stemmed from disputes with her ex, leading to heated arguments between them.

Dee, in turn, has been perplexed by Khutso ’s minimal interaction with his own ex and mother of his child, questioning whether such limited communication supports effective co-parenting. This dynamic has created a significant strain, with Khutso feeling Dee’s emotional baggage from her past relationship is unfairly impacting their marriage. Was it fair? Such issues were explored in therapy, although they seemingly continued to pose challenges and raise questions about their long term compatibility for the newlyweds.

As if that were not enough, the pair’s relationship was tested further during a couples' trip, where Dee’ s reaction to a game revealed trust issues. When Khutso fessed up to a hypothetical scenario in which he would add Boitshepo as a sexual partner in the marriage, the revelation led to another confrontation. Boitshepo returning the sentiment worsed the heat.

Do they want each other? Is that what all that fawning was about? Such was Dee’s assessment of their responses in the game, which she has since slammed as being an ‘evil’ game.

At the height of their problems, Dee proceeded to express frustration over how Khutsi publicly discusses their private matters, which she said make her feel constantly ‘ambushed’ by flaws in their relationship that have yet to be discussed privately.

Despite these challenges, Khutso and Dee are determined to work through their difficulties. They’ve re-committed to each other, choosing to face their problems together rather than retreating. Their journey reflects their dedication to overcoming the hurdles of an unconventional marriage and building a future together.
