Our favourites come together in the spiritual world.

We know them, we’ve watched them deliver award-worthy performances before and they have now come together to meet in this spiritual world that none of them knew existed.

Then

We first met Zenokuhle Maseko on the Emmy-nominated show “The River” as Lindiwe and Zweli’s daughter. Even though she took her calm and soft nature from her father, Lindiwe’s tough side came through at times and that made us love her even more. ‘Mbali’ would often run away from confrontations and would rather work very hard to make sure that peace reigns in their household.

And now

Maseko stepped into a role that no one saw coming for her, a challenging role that allowed us to see her in a different light. She is introduced to us as a new student at University who is passionate about her art and nothing else but as soon as she meets her roommate, she quicky feels like it’s about to be a ride.

‘Nothando’ soon learns that she truly has a gift and that’s when we go through all the emotions with her as she tries to accept it and allow herself to exist in a spiritual world. Here we experience brilliant acting from Maseko.

Then

She was not new to our screens but when she stepped in to her role as ‘Nox’ on #DiepCity, we got to see Nozuko Ntshangase in a different element and she slayed it every single time. She was fresh from jail with hunger to better her life and fix her relationship with her mother especially but she was too deep in to the world of crime and that ended badly.

And now

Here however we take a totally different route with Ntshangase, she is a sangoma in training who truly wants to make her grandmother proud and live in her purpose. ‘Zodwa’ is the character at hand and she helps her friend through this journey but it turns out, she may just be epileptic and has no spiritual gift.

This also explains her interest in the serial killer that is Solomzi without being able to feel the evil spirit in him.

It’s hectic and it doesn’t stop.
