Raised by their late grandmother, Olwethu and Owami Siko – twin sisters – grew up sharing everything. In the reality series, Twice As Bold, we learn more about them including why they have shared a husband and now their spiritual calling.

Twice As Bold also shows big moments in their lives such as the reunion with their biological mother and their plans to host a big splash to celebrate their 31st birthday.

The Siko sisters co-own their fitness business and they live together, with their daughters.

Here are seven facts about the twin sisters Owami and Olwethu:

Who is Owami Siko
Owami is the extrovert and go-getter. She is known as the one who always wants to create a hype. A lot of people assume that Owami controls her twin sister, Olwethu. Olwethu often feels like her twin sister rushes her decisions. Owami and her mother doesn’t see eye-to-eye much.

Who is Olwethu Siko
She’s the introvert and is very careful when it comes to making decisions. Olwethu finds it hard to speak up about her feelings, and she doesn’t feel that Owami controls her (despite what others say). Olwethu gets along better with their mother as compared to Owami.

How they grew up
The twin sisters were born in Vosloorus in 1990. At a young age, they lost their father, and their mother abandoned them and remarried. They grew up with their late grandmother, who they knew as their mother. The twins grew up so poor that they could barely afford the necessities.

Later, they studied acting at City Varsity and post-graduation they met Mzukizeni Mzazi, a TV Director, who later became their husband.

About their daughters
The Siko twin sisters each have a daughter who is nine years old – they are two months apart. Lwanda is Owami’s daughter – who is introverted like her aunt. Luthando is Olwethu’s daughter, who has a larger-than-life personality (unlike her mother). The girls hate it when their mothers dress them up like twins.

The twins’ ex-husband
They married met Mzukizeni Mzazi, a TV Director, who at first were their mentor – when they wanted to become actresses. According to the twins, the marriage was a loveless one, their husband was overbearing and controlling, and couldn’t provide for them financially. They were married to him for nine years. According to the ancestors, their divorce was not done the right way and now the sisters need to talk to Mzukizeni about this.

Their spiritual calling
The Siko twins say that they have a calling; they are not sangoma’s, they are prophets – just like their great grandmother. They are currently going through the initiation process of becoming prophets.

Dating as single mothers
Owami and Olwethu are looking for a husband again – on the reality show we get a glimpse of their dating life. They share how they get DMs from men on social media and we learn about who they are interested in. The suitors are mostly businessmen, including twin brothers.
