He’s the lead in the new season of the reality TV show Pastor Wants A Wife. The 35-year-old Tshegofatso Modisakeng, known as Pastor Tshego or “Pastor Bae”, is looking for the love of his life and he is ready to pop the question.

Tonight, on episode 5 of Pastor Wants A Wife Season 2, the ladies who are dating Pastor Tshegofatso on the TV show visit his hometown and meet his close family members.

Whether you’ve watched the show since episode one or you’re just catching up, here are six things you should know about Pastor Tshegofatso:

His background
He grew up in Rustenburg. His father was a pastor; his father ordained him as a pastor and then decided to retire. 

His role in the church
Besides his leadership role in his church, Pastor Tshegofatso also sings and plays the keyboard. He started playing the keyboard when he was 14 years old. He also ministers on the local radio station.

He is a family man
On the reality TV show, we meet his two sisters Dephney and Mercy, brother Tshepang, and his and aunt, Portia. His grandmother also makes an appearance on the show. Pastor Tshegofatso is divorced and has two daughters – both under seven years old – from his previous marriage.

He is a businessman
The man of God is a poultry farmer and owns a plot to farm on. He is also an IT Technician and runs an IT business. On episode one of the show he joked that he has no furniture in his house and said that he would buy the furniture when the woman comes.

What he is looking for
He has revealed that the first thing he is looking for is love. “I’m also looking for a person who loves the work of the Lord,” he said. Recently he has also mentioned that he loves a woman who is confident.

His dealbreakers
He calls himself “a simple man” and he has eliminated a woman on the show because her expectations were too high. He has also eliminated women from the show because their values were not aligned – one of the women he eliminated was someone who had an ancestral calling.
