Lucky had no idea that accompanying his friend, who went to check up on his girlfriend, would actually lead to meeting Phumlile in 1997. As with some couples, they hit it off immediately after they met.

However, this wasn’t the case with Phumlile and Lucky, as she avoided every chance to meet up and chat. This was a bit tricky for Phumlile though because her friend was dating Lucky’s friend so she found herself in a bit of a “sticky” situation. It was only after almost a whole year that Phumlile agreed to date Lucky.
