Thabang & Mitchel
Thabang (34) and Mitchel’s (31) story shows that true love has the power to change a person. The couple met in 2008 in Vosloorus at a hospital where Thabang was working. Mitchel was there for her nursing practicals and on the first day that Thabang met her, he could not help but ask out.
Being uncertain about this new character that had asked her out, Mitchel did some digging and found out that Thabang was seeing one of the senior employees at the hospital who had been rumoured to be the kind of woman that would literally “fight for her man”. Mitchel therefore decided that she would stay out of Thabang’s way - this continued for the next two years.
When the two later bumped into each other, Thabang pulled Mitchel into his arms and gave her a little peck on the lips. She was evidently ecstatic and Thabang recalls that it was at that moment that he knew that she was his. The rest, as they say, is history. They have since been madly inlove with each other and have reached a place in which they can seal their love in holy matrimony.
Thabang and Mitchel like spending quality time together and often go on romantic holidays in different parts of South Africa. Mitchel says that she agreed to marry Thabang because she could see themselves building a bright future for themselves and their children and that above that, he became her best friend who has also been a pillar of strength in the relationship.
