It is set to be a nail-biting second season as the popular drama series, Housekeepers, returns to Mzansi Magic. When you are a housekeeper to the wealthy, the clean-up never truly ends… but, what’s thrillingly different is that taking care of these particular households involves mopping up a whole lot of felonies.
Things aren’t quite what they seem as unlikely characters get pulled into the never-ending life of crime. A feisty new detective begins connecting the dots and realises that all evidence points to the protagonist, Linda. To make matters worse, Linda is drawn into a sizzling romance, but when she soon discovers the full extent of her lover’s macabre plans and an unbelievable hidden history – everything spirals out of control.
A host of stunning familiar faces form part of Housekeepers’ talented cast who bring this gripping local story to life. The elegant Xolile Tshabalala plays the role of matriarch Noli Ngubane while Lindani Nkosi embodies Clive Ngubane. Renowned actor Lorcia Cooper plays the spicy Mkhonto, alongside Sithembiso “SK” Khoza who plays the character of Sydney Ngubane and Kwezi Ndlovu as Thuli Ngubane. The series also features the much-loved Dumisani Mbebe, Kayise Ngqula, Nimrod Nkosi and Liopelo Maphathe as gutsy Officer Maluleke.
“With its emotional twists and turns, this new season of Housekeepersshows just how incredibly entertaining local storytelling can be.
