Hope and Lesego came on S'jola Sonke to expand their relationship by adding one more partner. But the couple, who got engaged in December 2023 shortly after they met, have called it quits.
The news came as a shock at Sunday night's reunion special. When Tsywza noticed that the former love birds had decided to sit so far from each other, he took the opportunity to get the tea. As it turned out, there really was trouble in paradise.
Lesego joked that their relationship hit its own "ten past four" experience, which translates to 'falling apart'.
In recent weeks, cracks began to show in Hope and Lesego's relationship. The pair could not agree on how to proceed on their mission to settle down with an extra partner in the villa. Hope has been honest about not being ready to take things to the next level with any of the singles.
Lesego, on the other hand, has been nurturing a buddying relationship with Nosipho.
As rules of engagement in a polyamorous setting go, both parties must be in agreement. This was not the case and, as it turns out, contributed massively to the demise of their relationship.
In one diary session, a teary Hope was overcome by emotions when expressing that Lesego seemed to want her to be more masculine. "I am not a man", she said. She also shared how she felt that Lesego wanted her to initiate everything. Lesego, in her defense, said that Hope could have communicated these concerns sooner.
Now, Lesego and Nosipho are looking to move closer to each other soon. Currently, Lesego is based in Johannesburg, while Nosipho is in Durban.
