Everything Kalawa Jazzmee touches turns to gold. The new album is now ready and waiting, which is titled “Woman”. This self written album in now on every radio stations play list. It opens up with the title song “Woman”. The album is inspired by personal experiences that altured Winnies life. Specifically the song woman was inspired by betrayed friendship and a need to voice the hurt and pain. The track impilo (life) talks about the challengesin life. Winnie was a forgotton artist but when she created hits again people started respecting her. Its amaizing how today you can be forgotten and tomorrow you can be on top of the world. Ngihamba naba hambayo is a family based track. Blood is thicker than water but in this life family tends to forget to stick together. Instead when a person has problems a lot of gossip is spread amongst relatives. So Winnie says i live with those who choose to live. Winnie Khumalo worked on a much talked about song this year with her boss Oscar “Oskido” Mdlongwa and the ANC Youth League President Julius Malema on Oskido 10th Commandment album and the song is titled “Nationalisation” asking SA President Mr. Jacob Zuma to look into the matter.
Izifo is a song written by Winnie Khumalo on her New album warning people to take care of themselves. A lot of people passed away due to diseases, accidents and murder this song is a reminder to take care of yourself.. Its also a dedication for all those artist who have passed away (May they souls rest in peace). This album is a must have in your CD collection coming from South Africa independent “woman”.
