That old adage is true; if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. However, desperate times call for desparate measures and that is the situation Mnqobi finds himself in.
He had the worst day of his life; his mother was immediately fired from her job, he lost the last R100 she gave him to a bully who beat him up for talking to his crush and he found out that his dead father is in fact alive and well and seemingly rich.
To add fuel to the fire, he found out that his brother has kidney failure and needs about R150 000 in medical fees.
So it comes as no surprise that Mnqobi not only considered but went as far as joining his father’s “investment scheme”.
Do you think Mnqobi has made the right choice joing the Impilo scheme?
While Bra K says the scheme is intended to uplift the community, if it works like a ponzi/pyramid scheme, it probably is one.
What is poor Mnqobi to do? Without the money he can’t sabe his brother, but if he agrees to join his father he may be getting the community that loves him so much into a world of trouble.
That is not even the worst of it. Bra K may appear to have together, but he has his own financial problems too. Pacino, an old friend that Bra K owes money is back to collect.
There are so many questions the first episode of this thrilling drama has left us with: Who did Pacino shoot at the Impilo offices? Has Mnqobi made a huge mistake by joining the scheme? What to do, what to do?
Do you think Mnqobi has made the right choice joing the Impilo scheme?
