Mzansi Magic’s telenovela, Isithembiso which reflects the lives of South African youth today, gears up for a second season. The millennial migrant story that has audiences glued to their seats Monday to Thursday at 19:30, will now be in our living rooms five days a week!
From Monday, 2nd of April 2018, Isithembiso will be available, Monday to Friday continuing to unravel the dramatic journey faced by the young adults as they learn that nothing is promised in the City of Joburg.
Season 1 of Isithembiso kicked off with a scene of a man walking down the streets of Braamfontein wearing only his underwear. To his family, he was a loving father, a husband, a successful businessman and provider. Viewers soon learnt that not everything is as it seems. Banzi (Hamilton Dlamini) is not just a thug but a cold-blooded murderer. Those around him soon discover he is dangerous, power hungry and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Will Jail change, Banzi?
In season 2, the characters we love and hate, live to cope with the consequences of their destructive choices. A series of events leaves the sweet rural girl, Simi (Nandi Mbatha) feeling ashamed, devastated and robbed of her innocence. While Zamani (Zamani Mbatha) learnt the hard way that love comes at a price.
Through trials and tribulations, Claudia (Chichi Letswalo) and Kero (Meshack Mavuso Magabane) are determined to claim their power.
Things fall apart in Palesa’s (Tshenolo Seabi) world, having to deal with the discovery of what her father is capable of.
The imperfections surface as the stakes get higher for all. Each character forges through challenges and has to make a sacrifice, write their wrongs, bear the truth and make sense of their new normal.
The new season of Isithembiso promises to be chilling, unpredictable and so much more. Get on the Isithembiso bandwagon, Monday-Friday on Mzansi Magic, DStv channel 161 at 19:30.
