First up, we welcome back recent crowned Style/French/MTV EMA Award-winner Master KG, again with Nomcebo Zikode, performing their brand-new smash ‘Xola Moya Wam’’. Released in October, it already has over 1 million YouTube views!
eDance routine is up next with ‘YJazziDisciples (Zlele)’, the latest amapiano number to go viral just in time for Dezemba. Performed by Reece Madlisa & Zuma feat. Mr JazziQ & Busta 929, it’s got kwaito flavour and kasi attitude. A treat!
Ami Faku has been performed twice so far in the season Mr Music, but she’ll be at the State Theatre in person to perform ‘Ungowam’, a track she created in tandem with De Mogul SA. It’s a dynamite deep house jam rich in jazzy detail and dripping with a divine vocal – let’s dance!
Kalawa-alum Busiswa will perform twice on the night, firstly alongside Kamo Mphela. Fresh of her Beyoncé ‘Black Is King’ feature (Hello!), ‘SBWL’ is the star’s stab at amapiano – and damn, it’s fresh!
Kamo Mphela, of course, guested in our Top 10 reveal show alongside MFR Souls and Bontle Smith.
The second time Busiswa performs will be somewhat special – it’s her bass-heavy collab with our Cape Town guest judge Cassper Nyovest!
He, of course, caught an eyeful of Som Som’s undergarments in one of the most popular clips of our season so far!
Then we welcome back two former Idols! Season 11 contender Loyiso Gijana is back for the second time in 2020.
This time it’s alongside our Pretoria guest judge, DJ Zinhle!
The track in question is their festive season stunner ‘Indlovu’ – a track that Brandon tackled in our Top 4 show.
Finally, last season’s winner Luyolo returns!
It’s an Afro-pop delight off his new album ‘Ithemba’ (details above) and you can find it on your favourite music service here.
There you have it – a finale jam-packed with giant guests, plus the Top 2 perform, and we have the tiny matter of our winner reveal… Who is it gonna be, Mr Music or Zama?
