The Greater Letaba Municipality, Mopani District Municipality, and Greater Tzaneen Municipality held a celebration at the Modjadji Royal Palace in collaboration with Rhythm World Productions and MultiChoice to honour the Balobedu royal nation for their support in filming the highly acclaimed series, Queen Modjadji.

The event, which took place on Saturday 17 August, was a resounding success. It was attended by local dignitaries, the full cast and crew of the series, including renowned producer Duma Ndlovu, and MultiChoice.

The Modjadji royal family, led by His Majesty Ba Mosata, Bakhoma Mpapatla Modjadji, was also present, along with the proud community of Modjadji. ZZ2 donated vegetables towards the celebration, making sure there was enough to feast on for all in attendance.

Queen Modjadji has captured the hearts of viewers with its authentic depiction of the legendary Rain Queen and Balobedu culture. The recent celebration showcased the successful partnership between the production team and the local community, emphasising the significance of preserving and sharing South African cultural narratives with a wider audience.
