Ngomane is a great warrior and military leader. He is a man you don’t want to have as an enemy, especially on the battlefield, where his skill is unmatched. We witnessed that unmatched skill at the end of episode three, where in an attempt to end Godongwana’s life, he hurls a spear at him. Even though Godongwana escapes death, the spear still causes damage, and he has to be nursed back to health by his lover, Baleka.

Ngomane is the leader of the Mthethwa regiments under King Jobe and later King Dingiswayo. He is obedient, brave, and loyal. As the story unfolds, Ngomane plays a vital role in King Shaka’s upbringing in the Mthethwa chiefdom.

Ngomane is brought to life by the well-accomplished actor Mondli Makhoba. Makhoba has been in the entertainment industry for over 20 years and has been a part of top films and television shows such as Imbewu The Seed, Uzalo, Umkhokha: The Curse, and The Wife. He has also featured in several theatre shows in England and Australia.
