This week on Champions, the Modise family is plunged into sorrow as they prepare to bid farewell to their patriarch, Washington Modise (played by Sello Maake ka Ncube). The once-unshakeable foundation of the family is now crumbling under the weight of secrets and betrayal and his departure is a true test of who had his best interests in mind. While Sinesipho (Joanne Reynecke) is overwhelmed with grief, and struggling to come to terms with the tragic events that have shattered her world, Philemon (played by Tumisho Masha) is haunted by the guilt of his actions, desperately trying to conceal the dark secret that could destroy him.
After Washington finally confronted Philemon last Friday, their altercation resulted in his untimely demise. Philemon and his slick accomplice Bonga (played by Buhle Maseko) rearranged the entire crime scene to make it look like Washington committed suicide. While they seem to have successfully executed their plan, when the chickens come to roost, will they be ready to face the consequences and what will Sne do when she finds out the truth?
Washington’s funeral will be held on Friday, 16August in an intimate ceremony held at the Modise mansion with family, friends and colleagues. The house will be furnished with minimal décor as a red carpet runs along the middle accompanied by bouquets of lush white roses adding a simple but elegant touch to sophisticated décor fit for the send of a Giant.

Tonight (14 August): Sne must face the dark truths hiding beneath the surface as she uncovers what really happened to her father in the middle of chaos, while she tries to keep the secret, the Modise family grows further apart, their once-strong connection now in danger of breaking.
Tomorrow (15 August): Washington’s funeral arrangements are underway and the Modise’s remain divided in their grief while Thapelo sparks yet another scandal.
Friday (16 August): It’s Washington’s funeral and the stage is set for alliances and conflicts but adds turmoil to Sne's love life. Marang returns to the Modise mansion for her father’s funeral.
