DJ Fresh
A sought-after radio and TV personality, social media sensation, international club DJ and radio stalwart, Fresh needs little introduction. Fresh made his debut on SA radio at Yfm in 1997, turning the station into a youth sensation. He then tuned his sights to house music, and his ‘Fresh House Flava’ series helped cement the style in Mzansi. After stints on 5FM and Metro, he currently handles the drive show on 947.

Kgomotso Matsunyane
More than just an on-air presenter, Kgomotso is an accomplished television and film producer, writer, and positive sexual health activist. She’s worked at SABC1, BET Africa and O, the Oprah Magazine SA edition. Her T.O.M. Pictures has produced films including ‘Material’, drama series Soul Buddyz and Soul City, and her talk show, Late Night with Kgomotso. She currently hosts the Uncaptured show on Kaya FM alongside Ndumiso Ngcobo.

Spitch
The flamboyant Spitch Nzawumbi is a radio and TV host, voice-over artist and a speaker who Thabo Mbeki dubbed “The Stage Prince”. After studying journalism, he hosted consumer rights show Yilungelo Lakho on SABC1, then Media Monitor. Alongside Zintle Mbusi, he hosts the Sijik ‘iLanga’ show between 1 and 3pm on weekdays on uMhlobo Wenene, a slot geared toward empowering the youth with vital information.

Tshathugodo
Khathide “Tshathugodo” Ngobe joined Ukhozi FM in 2003 when he was just 19, and his unique voice and love of maskandi and Zulu culture soon scored him the prized weekday drive slot. For five years from 2006, he was the host of SABC1 show Roots, he’s also a rapper, and currently hosts Ukhozi’s breakfast show.

Twasa
Radio veteran Seipati “Twasa” Seoke has had a home at Lesedi FM for twenty years, and recently won a Liberty Radio Award for her Monate Breakfast Show (weekdays 6 to 9am). She started her career on TV in 2002, replacing Vinolia Mashego on SABC1’s Jam Alley. In 2003, she released the album ‘Kwaito Soul’, with follow-up ‘Kairos’ landing in 2017.
