Thanks to our sponsor, Vodacom, the Top 3 Idols SA finalists are enjoying an all-expenses-paid trip to Cape Town, being whisked around the city in style and enjoying some of the local cuisine.

The Top 3 finalists from this season’s competition are enjoying a bit of a break from the usual routine of preparing for the coming live show – currently, the singing sensations are enjoying some downtime in iKapa which, mercifully, is playing along with some absolutely stunning weather. The trip comes courtesy of the folks over at Vodacom, who thought that the Top 3 deserved a bit of a break after a very strenuous few weeks of competition.

They touched down last night with Proverb – thanks to the skills of the Flysafair flight crew – and headed over to the Protea Fire and Ice! Hotel by Marriot– a trendy hotel located in the centre of the Cape Town City Bowl. Karabo – who clearly likes to take a few photos – posted this view from her hotel room, earlier this morning.

Not a bad view to wake up to, right?

It’s not all just sitting back and taking in the view, however – sometimes you need to get yourself a bit of a better angle… but how to do that? Oh, right – by roping in the expertise of a helicopter pilot (and her helicopter, obviously).

Proverb decides it might be a good idea to get the pilot to like him.

Excitement (and soon the finalists) is in the air.

Once again, Karabo’s snap-happy personality comes in handy, as she posted these images from the air.

Back on terra firma, the three finalists thought it might be best to steady what were probably a few shaky nerves with a decent meal.

Yummy!

They still have a few more days to spend in the country’s oldest city, so watch this space (and our social media pages) for more updates as they happen. The contestants will be looking forward to the coming days, too – Old Mutual will be giving them a bunch of CASH to spend on their trip, which is the ProVerbial (haha – geddit?) icing on the cake.
