It seemed to be the greatest love story ever told – punctuated only by an evil king’s greed and manipulation. But even without evil schemes getting in the way Qondi and Fezile’s love seems to be reaching its end.

There is no doubt that Fezile has never loved any woman as much as he loves Qondi. Whether she was married off to the Chief of eBhubesini just when he thought they could start their lives together or overseas finding herself, she remains “Themba lam’” to him.

It was a bitter sweet moment when it was revealed that Qondi is not infact the rightful Queen Mother because her late husband who had stolen her, had also managed to steal the throne. We thought this would mean she could finally and freely be with Fezile. But with such a big revelation, Qondi had to get in touch with who she really was after losing her identity as Queen Mother: An identity she took very seriously and dedicated her life to.

She decided to take a break from it all, including Fezile and jet off to London, to find herself.

However, this time was not like other times when Qondi put Fezile on the backburner. This time, enter Cebisile – Sibongile’s gorgeous, well-educated sister who is absolutely smitten with Fezile. It all started with her serving him food at her sister’s lobola negotiations but from just that brief moment there seems to be a new love budding between the two.

Obviously, the connection between Fezile and Cebisile cannot be compared to the connection between Fezile and Qondi, but this is the first woman to make Fezile’s heart really flutter in Qondii’s absence since his fling with Kaone.
