When and where are the DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards 2020 being held?

On Saturday 14 March 2020 at the Ticketpro Dome, Northgate, Johannesburg.

Are tickets being sold for this event?

No. Tickets are being given away to qualifying DStv customers – please see www.DStv.com   for further details.

Which channels will the awards be broadcast on?

The DStv MVCA 2020 will be a live broadcast from 20:00 on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) and simulcast on Mzansi Wethu (DStv Channel 163).

The DStv MVCA 2020 Red Carpet Special will be broadcast from 19:00 – 20:00 on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) and simulcast on Mzansi Wethu (DStv Channel 163)

The DStv MVCA 2020 Red Carpet Special will also be streamed live at 18:00 on DStv Now.

Can I collect my ticket at the venue?

No. All tickets need to be redeemed at participating Computicket outlets.

What happens if I lose my ticket?

No access will be granted.

Venue FAQs

How do I get to the venue?

• Situated just off the R28 dual carriageway, connecting Krugersdorp and Pretoria
• Situated off the N1 ring road connecting the Northern Suburbs, Midrand, Johannesburg, East Rand, Soweto and Southern Suburbs
• The venue is flanked by two dual carriageways
• It caters for drop-off for cars, coaches and taxis, whilst within walking distance from the Northgate Shopping & Entertainment Centre

The following major arterial routes connect the Ticketpro Dome to the following business centres:

• Beyers Naude Drive - Northcliff, Melville, Muldersdrift

• Malibongwe Drive - Randburg, Bryanston, Sandton, Lanseria

• Christiaan De Wet - Roodepoort, Florida, Dobsonville, Krugersdorp

• Witkoppen Drive - Fourways, Diepsloot, Rivonia, Kyalami

The venue is 35 minutes from OR Tambo International Airport, 10 minutes from Lanseria Airport and 20 minutes from the Sandton Business Centre.

Where am I meant to park?

  • Tickets allocated to Entrance 1 are advised to park in block C, C/O, D or E or G (Entrance from Olievenhout Avenue or Northumberland Road)
  • Tickets allocated to Entrance 4 are advised to park in parking block G (Entrance from Northumberland Road).

I am using E-hailing (Taxify/Bolt/Uber) services – where will I be dropped off and collected?

  • A secure e-hailing drop off/collection area has been allocated in parking block G (Entrance from Northumberland Road).

Are there any disabled facilities at the venue?

Yes, the venue has disabled parking, ramps to access the venue easily as well as disabled restrooms.

Will there be hand sanitizers available at the venue?

Yes, hand sanitizers will be available.

Can I bring my own food and drinks into the venue?

No, the venue has a variety of professional catering suppliers that provide you with a wide variety of meals and beverage options to suit the occasion. Alcoholic beverages available include local and imported beers, wine, ciders and spirits coolers.

For safety reasons at events:

  • All glass and canned beverages are to be decanted into plastic cups
  • Lids from plastic bottles like the 330ml buddy and 750ml plastic wine bottles will be removed

Does the venue sell Halal food?

Yes, the venue has Halal food courts that sell a variety of meals of your choice.

Does the venue have ATM facilities?

The venue has two ATMs inside, Standard Bank & ABSA.

Is there accommodation nearby the venue?

Does the venue have a medical clinic?

Yes, the venue has a medical clinic inside that is manned by qualified medical staff.

Gun policy

The venue is a gun-free zone.

Can I smoke inside the venue?

No, the venue is a non-smoking environment. This includes cigarettes and vaping units. Smoking areas are situated outside Entrance 1, Entrance 3 & other demarcated areas that are event specific.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • Professional cameras or professional recording devices
  • Computers, laptops, tablets, selfie sticks
  • Glass bottles, cans or containers or other heavy and/or sharp objects
  • Any illegal drugs or paraphernalia
  • Skateboards, scooters, roller blades or bicycles
  • Knives, weapons of any nature or fireworks
  • Laser pointers and flashlights
  • Flags with poles, large flags or banners
  • Whistles, horns, musical instruments, loud hailers, public address systems, digital, electronic or other recording or broadcast devices
  • Any item that you intend to distribute, hawk, sell, offer, expose for sale or display for marketing or promotional purposes
  • No animals apart from authorized guide/companion dogs
  • Umbrellas, braais and camping chairs
  • Firearms are strictly forbidden
  • Any dangerous goods and any other items considered to be dangerous or capable of causing a public nuisance
  • Cooler boxes, camera bags, bags, briefcases, backpacks and women’s purses (small clutch bags are allowed)
