You know your favourite soapie is as good as it is because of all the talent on the show! We bet you show extra love for these four gents, not just because their handsome and talented, but now they have nominated in the SAFTAs!

Sdumo Mtshali – Sbu

Nominated for: Best Actor in a TV Soap

Nominated for: Best Supporting Actor in a TV Soap

Part of the most loved romantic duo on Isibaya, Sbudeka; Sdumo Mtshali is a force to be reckoned with in the South African entertainment industry. He has received a number of nominations in the SAFTAs previously for film and TV dramas, so his work remains recognized. This year he is nominated twice for Best Supporting Actor in a TV Drama for his role in Is’thunzi and Best Supporting Actor in a TV Soap for his role as Sbu in Isibaya.

Pallance Dladla – Jabu

Nominated for: Best Actor in TV Soap

With a SAFTA for best actor already under his belt, Pallance Dladla is not new to nominations and awards. He has played the role of Jabu Zungu with gripping grace whether mourning his wife Zama or fighting his father Mpiyakhe Zungu.

Abdul Khoza – Qaphela

Nominated for: Best Supporting Actor in a TV Soap

Best known as uphunyuka bemphethe, Qaphela is Isibaya’s quintessential man of action. Whether you think he is simply his father’s puppet or a man forever ready for war, Abdul Khoza has you convinced.

Melusi Mbele – Bhekumuzi

Nominated for: Best Supporting Actor in a TV Soap

Is there anyone more funny on Isibaya than Bhekumuzi? He is the much needed comedic relief on the complex and well-written Isibaya storyline. Melusi Mbele embodies the role of Bhekumuzi bring out both empathy and laughter in us. A much deserved nomination!
