Meet the choirmasters – Clash of the Choirs SA

Every season of Clash of the Choirs South Africa (#COTCSA) has featured some of the most talented artists as choirmasters. 

Let's get to know the new faces of season four.

 Lady Du – East London

Music runs in her blood. Amapiano’s superstar Lady Du has been working on her music career since the age of 9, but it was only in 2020 that she received her big break.

Vusi Nova – Western Cape

His life is shaped by music. Nova has raked in accolades for several hit songs, namely ‘Ndikuthandile’, ‘Zungandithembi’, and ‘Thandiwe’. Despite innumerable successes in his own right, Vusi continues to innovate through meaningful collaborations.

Langa Mavuso – Northern Cape

He’s no stranger to music. Mavuso has solidified his presence on the Mzansi music landscape with his soul-stirring songs. His album, Langa, scored the star a nomination in the best R&B/soul album category at the SAMAs.

Zaza Mokhethi – Free State

She’s a gospel powerhouse. Zaza has worked with gospel greats such as Benjamin Dube, Rebecca Malope, Solly Mahlangu, and the renowned group Joyous Celebration, to name a few. Since her solo rendition of ‘Namhla Nkosi’, Zaza has enjoyed ongoing success.

Hle – Limpopo

Called into music, gospel superstar Hle began her career as a backing vocalist for Ntokozo Mbambo. Born in Kwaggafontein, she’s famous for her chart-topping songs such asDwalaand ‘You Are Life’.

Khanyisa Jaceni – Mpumalanga

With more than 2 million TikTok followers, Jaceni rose to stardom as a TikTok star and showcased her talent as a singer. Using music, she shares her life experiences, including heartbreak, love, and happiness.

 Ntencane – KwaZulu-Natal

Making waves is award-winning maskandi musician Ntencane. Hailing from KwaZulu-Natal, Ntencane became a star when he released the song ‘Wawuthembeni which won him song of the year on Ukhozi FM.

Prince Kaybee – Gauteng

His place in the music industry is secured. Prince Kaybee is a multi-award-winning DJ, musician, and house producer. He is known for hits like ‘Club Controller’, ‘Charlotte, ‘Fetch Your Life’, and ‘Uwrongo’.

Stoan – North West

What do you call a living icon? Stoan Seate. He is a multi-talented musician, actor, and presenter. Stoan found fame as a member of one of South Africa’s most renowned bands, Bongo Maffin.

 The choirs are certainly in good hands.
