Mzansi's biggest Friday night music show had amazing moments, inspite of the pandemic. 

But we still managed to get some amazing studio guests and content!

So hard to choose between our favourite interviews and moments, but we just couldn't stop raving about these moments:

 

1. One night of megacy with AKA 

The Megacy rapper AKA walks us down his career spanning over a decade, he also unpacks about his concept for his 14 track EP Bhovamania which was released during the pandemic. As an artist who also regularly finds himself on the trending list in SA Twitter, he also unpacks how haters are gonna hate but his fans help him spin a positive outlook as one of the most attacked rappers online.

AKA gives an eletric and powerful performance of  his single titled 'Casino', from his latest offering Bhovomania. 

2. A Kelly Khumalo exclusive

Shortly after releasing 'Voice of Africa' and her single Empini breaking music records in South Africa, Kelly Khumlalo shares her vison around her album. In 2020, the superstar also had her own reality show released on ShowMax, 2020 was certainly a winning year for the songstress.

3. Costa Titch, Big Zulu, Riky and Intaba Yase DubaI

Smash Afrika chats to Costa Titch about the waves he's making in the hp hop community, Intaba Yase Dubai unpacks his name and Big Zulu and Riky talk about Imali Eningi.

Big Zulu had an amazing year, with the release of his chart topping singles. In this performance, traditional mbhaqanga flavours meet rap as the collaborators unleash an unforgettable performance on Massive Music

4. SBWL with Busiswa and Kamo Mpela 

usiswa talks about Majesty records and walking with international superstar Beyonce. The #SBWL​ ladies also tell us how they’re collaboration came to life.

5. Limpopo princess Makhadzi takes over Massive Music 

Setting the stage on fire during her #MassiveMusic​ takeover, the blazing singer treated us to a fire performance while expressing her excitement about the recognition and love that Limpopo artists are receiving and upcoming joint projects.
