Our Perfect Wedding

Prudence and Ananias' love story is the kind that people write books about; the kind that movies are made of. They've known each other since the tie and pigtails days of high school, where outspoken and vivacious, maybe even precocious, Prudence had a schoolgirl crush on shy and reserved Ananias.

She dropped hints as to her feelings for Ananias as often as she could, hoping he'd pick them up and make a move. Not one to to be particularly coy, she even joined the cadet band, that he was the leader of, just to get close to him. Because she was always being the class clown, serious-natured Ananias booted her from the band.

Years later, after both Ananias and Prudence had gone on to have relationships with other people, and each had had a child, the two bumped into each other at a funeral, where Prudence introduced a friend who had accompanied her as her boyfriend.

They exchanged numbers nonetheless, and after a rather awkward evening of texting, and after Prudence had been the first to declare that she "liked" Ananias, he finally opened up to her about his feelings for her. Eleven months later, they're tying the knot in beautiful Setswana culture in Tantanana Village in Rustenburg.
