It will be a Monday night crowd favourite! Mzansi Magic's compelling drama Isifiso returns for a roaring second season, premiering on 10 April.

After finally getting the life she always wanted, Bazothini (Nelisa Mchunu) finds herself in a fight she never expected to fight – that for her husband Mhlengi (Ntando Mncube).

Shirley Adonisi, director of local entertainment channels at M-Net says: "We are proud to be bringing back Isifiso for a second season, which is evidence of the quality of storytelling that our viewers have come to expect from Mzansi Magic. We can't wait to see what unfolds this season and how viewers will react to the captivating plot twists and character journeys."

New character Nokwanda (played by Linda Mtobawill rock Bazothini's world, alongside other new star-studded cast members such as Ntandazo Mndayi (Gomora) and Thandeka Qwabe (Isibaya).

Fans of the show will remember that Julia (Zinhle Mabena) told Siboniso (Melusi Yeni) that it was Bazothini who killed his wife. But Nobuhle (Mbalenhle Mthembu) and Bazothini turned the tables on Julia, leaving Siboniso to think Julia was the murderer. Bazothini, of course, had to take it a step further in order to complete her plan, pushing Julia down the stairs like she did Nobuhle. She framed her brother-in-law, Siboniso for Julia’s death.

Can she get away with these murders? Having fought to get up from under her younger sister Nobuhle’s shadow, who is now torturing her from beyond the grave, Bazothini is betrayed by the one person she trusts more than anyone on earth – her husband, Mhlengi. But this betrayal comes with double jeopardy, it can either unite or divide the new power couple.

This season, Isifiso audiences will learn that one wrong move can quickly turn even the best-laid plans into a nightmare.

Don’t miss season 2 of Isifiso, Mondays at 20:00 on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161), from 10 April.
