The Ugandan film industry commonly referred to as Ugawood or Kinauganda is one of the fastest-growing film industries in Africa. The industry was officially launched in 2005 and has grown from strength to strength. Television channels such as Maisha Magic Movies have been at the forefront of shining a spotlight on the industry.
