On 25 May is Africa Day and Maisha Magic Plus is celebrating Africa Day in style. Here are three reasons to stay tuned this May.Â
A brand-new show startsÂ
A new series, A Better Life, will premiere on Tuesday, May 28 at 7:30 p.m. The 13-part series follows an activist from Nairobi's greatest slum who falls in love with the governor's son. Unknown to them, his parents want to demolish the slum to make way for a housing project. Expect to see stars that have appeared on Maisha Magic Plus productions such as Kevin Ambani (Kovu), Nyakundi Isaboke (Ka-Siri), and Kelvin Kasyoki (Kam U Stay).Â
The show, which replaces Ka-Siri, will air every Monday through Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Make sure to tune in when it premieres. Â
Hullabaloo Estate returnsÂ
If you’ve missed Ondiek and the rest of the Hullabaloo crew, we have some excellent news for you. The comedy returns on Friday, 10 May, at 7:30 pm. The show replaces Haki Mwitu, which ends on 3 May. Â
Showmax Originals will be screened a week before Africa DayÂ
To celebrate the relaunch of Showmax Kenya, the streaming service will release four Showmax Originals in May. Maisha Magic Plus and East will screen the first episodes of all these four releases. Here's the list of the shows as well as the days and times they’ll be screened:Â
