Mila Joan, if I could send you a birthday wish right now, I would tell you to be Wonder Woman: That person people look up to, a woman who walks into a room and just conquers it, because there are so few of us out there.
Mila, we should embrace that and never think that we are not worthy of getting that acceptance and love. We tend to stand back because we think we are not worthy of that acceptance, that love and that drive, but we truly are.
When I was pregnant with you, Mila, I prayed for a little girl that would be more than the average and that would be my friend: A girl that would be able to withstand the test of time. And since I had you, I had to withstand the test of time, because you have pushed your father and me to the limits, and I know this is only the beginning. You're a wild cat and you must embrace every living part of yourself.
I know your stars are lined up for you.
And you've tested your sister Miné and through that, I realise she's going to be a woman out of a million, because she loves you dearly, even though you terrorise her. So thank you, Mila, for being the little terrorist in our house. I love you.
