Lock the door, put your phone on silent, and stay out of the basement. It’s Halloween month! This October, M-Net is sending chills down your spine every Friday night at 20:00 with a spine-tingling line-up that’s perfect for spooky season.

Night of the Hunted

Friday 4 October

Horror movie fans know not to stop at a deserted-looking petrol station on a dark and lonely night. Someone should have told Alice that. In this thriller, a vengeful sniper goes on the rampage, trapping Alice in a petrol station where she fights for her survival. Who’s after her and why? You’ll have to watch and find out.

Friday Nights at Freddy’s

Friday 11 October

The creep factor ratchets up a notch the following week. In this movie from horror aficionados Blumhouse Productions, you’ll get animatronics possessed by murdered children. The horror happens in an old pizzeria where a new security guard has just been hired for the night shift (of course!) and it’s not long before things go bump in the night.

It Lives Inside

Friday 18 October

There’s nothing quite like the evil you can’t see, and in this horror it comes in the form of a demonic spirit that possesses a young girl. Desperate to fit in at school, Sam rejects her Indian heritage, which just so happens to be exactly what she needs to save her possessed friend.

The Nun II

Friday 25 October

This is the latest film in The Conjuring Universe to be released, but takes place before all the Conjuring and Annabelle movies, and after The Nun. Although a background in these films is helpful, they’re stand-alone enough to enjoy out of order. Set in 1956, Sister Irene (played by scream queen Taissa Farmiga) returns for another spook fest, this time bound for France to fight more evil.

Grab your watch buddies, stay together, ignore the weird noises, and don’t say “I’ll be right back”. October has arrived! Which Friday night horror movie are you looking forward to watching the most? Share your thoughts on FacebookXInstagram, and TikTok using #FridayNightMovie and #MNet101.
