Almost every little girl's dream at some point was to be Barbie. Everything about Barbie's outfits, accessories, and style is so glamorous. Over the years a few movies had characters that somewhat reminded us of this fabulous icon, and we're taking a look at them.

Alicia Silverstone's Cher made outfit choices and had a charisma that resembled Barbie's. She was fun, elegant, and so trendy. Fun fact: Greta Gerwig took inspiration from Clueless for the Barbie movie. In the movie, Barbie gets dressed by standing in front of her closet and the clothes magically appear on her. When she wants to change her outfit, a new one appears in her closet. This was inspired by the closet scene in Clueless where Cher selects her outfit via her computer.

Reese Witherspoon's character dressed in pink from head to toe just like Barbie, and one could easily mistake her for Barbie at first glance. The movie also cleverly showcased the independence of the character who was largely stereotyped by the opposite sex, and wanted to prove everyone wrong. Later, this theme would be part of the main plot in Greta Gerwig's Barbie.

Tyra Banks made history by playing a black doll that came to life in this fantasy comedy. The movie gave fans a look at what would happen if a doll stepped into the real world and several years later in the movie Barbie, Margot Robbie would do the same, with a unique twist. Barbie also has Barbies of different races and ethnicities.

Daphne was rich, fancy, and although her preferred colour was purple and not pink, her penchant for great outfit choices reminded us of Barbie. She could be classified as the mystery-solving Barbie. Can you imagine an alternate universe in which Daphne and Barbie team up to solve a mystery? How cool would that be!

One could call Regina the bad Barbie. She was always beautifully dressed and even had a fashion code ("On Wednesdays we wear pink"), and was the leader of The Plastics, a group of pretty, spoilt girls – which kinda made Regina a real-life, walking, talking, mean Barbie.
