Tensions rose and secrets came out during the latest episode of Summertide. While we were expecting wedding bells, we got major drama instead. Here's what happened ...
"I'm your mother."
On the way to her wedding, Rebecca was ridden with guilt and confessed to Amina that she is her mother and Martin is her father. This left Amina shook and very upset. After a heated argument, a distraught Amina told Rebecca that she didn't want to ever see her again and that she didn't deserve to be anyone's mother. Ouch ... but Rebecca had it coming. Is this the end of their relationship or will they make amends in the future?
Old flames
Meanwhile, earlier on before the wedding, Rebecca had a tender moment with Martin and told him she was sorry that she ran away all those years ago, and ended up kissing him, yet again! She also said she is faced with a difficult situation, leaving Martin quite unsettled.
Runaway bride
Rebecca pulled a runaway bride on Gavin and told him she had to leave. He begged her to stay, but she just couldn't. This left him heartbroken, and we must admit, we kinda hate Rebecca at this moment. Poor Gav, he just can't catch a break. Is this the end for the two, for good this time? As for Rebecca, where is she off to this time?
"Martin's my father."
Amina showed up at the Fields and confronted Martin, who was unaware of the whole situation. He was shocked to find out she is his daughter; and Amina, after realising he was in the dark all along, decided to leave and apologised for barging in. This revelation left the entire Field family shocked, particularly Lucy. Will Martin fight to have a relationship with Amina?
Brother's brawl
Martin paid Gavin a visit and asked him why did he not tell him Amina was his daugther. They ended up in a brawl after Martin told him that Rebecca kissed him before the wedding. Will the brothers bury the hatchet?
Amina's decision
Amina decided to stay in Simon's Town, after her mother told her she should pursue her dreams. Both her parents ended up embracing and accepting her decision. Now that Amina has decided to stay, what does the future hold for her? Will she get closer to her Martin and his family?
