M Night Shyamalan brings the horror with Knock at the Cabin this Sunday. The movie is about a family vacationing in a remote cabin who is taken hostage by a group of sinister strangers. You're in for chills with this one. Before you tune in, we’re counting down five of the most chilling moments in horror movies. Watch if you dare.

5. The shower scene in Psycho
A classic scary movie scene horror fanatics know and love is this scene with Janet Leigh in Psycho. Years later, her daughter Jamie Lee Curtis would follow in her mother's footsteps and be crowned a scream queen for her role in the Halloween movies.

4. The stair scene in The Grudge
The remake of the Japanese horror film did not disappoint fans of the genre. This creepy scene from The Grudge left moviegoers shaken, and some kept their eyes shut when the scene played out.

3. Samara crawling through the screen in The Ring
This remake of Hideo Nakata's 1998 movie Ring was a hit with fans. The build-up to this scene was everything. The movie had a slow eerie pace and the moment that Samara finally crawled through the TV screen went down in horror movie history.

2.    The final scene in The Blair Witch Project
The Blair Witch Project made history by popularising the found footage format and by becoming one of the highest-grossing independent films of all time. The final scene actually gets more chilling every time you watch it, especially because the ever-present malignant force is never seen.

1.     The stair scene in The Exorcist
The Exorcist was considered so disturbing it was banned from many cinemas back in the day. This is hands down one of the most chilling scenes from a horror movie of all time. Decades later it still sends chills down spines and The Exorcist remains the king of horror movies.
