Elvis was a big fan of karate and obtained his first-degree black belt in 1960. The martial art influenced his performances on stage and in his movies. He even helped establish the Tennessee Karate Institute and was influential in exposing Americans to martial arts.
Fact: His coffin was almost stolen
Now this one sounds like fiction, but it is indeed very true. Elvisās coffin was almost stolen from Memphis Forest Hills Cemetery. Shortly after the incident, his body was moved to Graceland to ensure extra surveillance after the body-snatching attempt.
Fiction: Elvisās hair was naturally jet black
Elvis was born a natural blond, but as he grew up his hair got darker. He eventually started dying it black to keep up with his iconic look. Ā
