We are exactly 4 episodes in which means we have had a month of tears, gasps, and facepalm moments from this amazing new drama series.

Here’s what we know so far.

  1. Rachel does not think clearly when it comes to Abby.

From the start, this has been a mistake that was going to cost her dearly, but Rachel’s judgment has been clouded since she decided to swop her dead baby with Tamsin’s in the clinic. Her actions have been questionable so far, and this week she completely lost sight of all rationality. After her plan to smuggle Abby out of the country failed, she agrees to return the baby to Tamsin, but then disappears into the night. Hiding from Marieke behind dustbins in the dark streets she narrowly escapes a mugging and a group of drunken men. She is adamant to protect her secret and by the looks of it, she is willing to do anything to keep this baby.

  1. James might have wanted a boy, but he is smitten with his princess.

The longer James is with Abby, the more he is turning into a total girl-dad. He turns to his super dad friend Wesley for parenting advice and from what we can gather, he is going to be in for a shock or two. We can’t even imagine how he is going to react if he finds out that Abby is in fact Angel Watts. Do you think Rachel will ever tell him?

  1. Marieke is either a really good or a really bad friend.

This is a question we’ve been asking ourselves from the start. Is Marieke a good friend for trying to help her bestie or a bad one for keeping her secret for this long. As the moral compass of the group, she has been trying to talk to Rachel about what she had done, but this might be taking a little too long. Do you think Marieke is being too lenient towards her best friend? What would you have done in her situation?

  1. Wesley is the father of the year!

Hands-on in every aspect. From helping his friends to raising his kids as a stay-at-home dad, he is just an amazing guy. Being intermittently unemployed as he calls it, gives him a lot of opportunities to help out his friends, and we are yet to catch him say no to anyone or anything. He has been sensing that there is something up with his wife, Marieke, and her bestie, but he has been keeping his distance from the drama. Wesley is also now suspicious of Natalie and Sisanda after spotting them in the freezer.

  1. Tamsin is not ok and desperately needs answers.

Losing a child is one of the hardest things a mother can go through. While trying to cope with her boyfriend assaulting Marieke, raising Rodney, trying to make money and her baby dying, this poor woman needs a break in life. She tore her stitches in the hospital and this has seemed to cause additional complications as she is constantly seen in pain. Or do you think this is her body’s way of telling her that her baby is actually alive?

  1. Nick is not a bad guy.

He might be from the wrong side of the tracks, but this rough around the edges construction worker has a soft center. Every now and then we catch a glimpse of just how much he cares for Tamsin and it makes us very happy. He has a very strange way of showing it but losing his baby girl really broke his heart. Already suspecting that something happened at the clinic, we are anxious to see if he is going to keep pushing for answers.

  1. Sisanda secretly wants a baby, and Natalie.

With all his friends having kids or trying to have kids, it is natural for him to want a baby of his own. Sisanda is married to Busi, who made it very clear that she is not interested in having any children of her own. A lot changed when his ex-girlfriend Natalie moved back to Jozi with her husband David, and as we all have been suspecting since the start, they rekindled much more than just their friendship in this week’s episode.

  1. Busi does not look like the type of woman you cheat on.

Busi caught a glimpse of something strange when Natalie and Sisanda were posing with Rachel and the baby, and before anything became more awkward had a conversation about it with Natalie. Busi is a straight-talking businesswoman that knows exactly what she wants and a baby is not one of those things. All we know is that we don’t want to be anywhere near her when she finds out about what happened at Natalie’s restaurant this week.

  1. David might be a little absent, but he is adorably devoted.

He might be a little socially awkward and a bit of a goof sometimes, but David Stein is a sweetheart with so much love for his feisty wife Natalie. He doesn’t understand the intricacies of owning and running a restaurant, but he supports his wife and tries his very best to help her wherever he can, all while trying to make friends and fit in with the group of guys.

  1. Natalie desperately wants a baby.

This vivacious restauranteur followed her husband back to Jozi and opened her own restaurant in Parktown, but trouble started brewing when her ex-boyfriend, Sisanda, started helping out around the restaurant. She has known the girls in the group for years and they all know about her past with Sisanda. She confesses to Busi that she is desperately trying to get pregnant with David and that she doesn’t have any leftover feelings for Sisanda. Or at least she didn’t until this week.

Remember to tune in every Thursday night at 20:30 to see how much deeper this story goes and how far the limits of friendship, loyalty, and devotion are stretched in this compelling and drama-filled series.
