Why We Can’t Wait for Justice League

Here's why we're excited about Justice League.
justice league

Our favourite superheroes come together on the big screen at M-Net Movies Night Out, in Justice League. Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, and Ezra Miller are ready for the next instalment of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) and so are we. The trailer’s theme song says as much, and that brings us to one of the many reasons why we can't wait for Justice League.

Come Together

The trailers and teasers have promised action, drama, and comedy for many months. Bringing it all together is Come Together, a song written and performed by The Beatles. In 1978, it was covered by Aerosmith and featured in the movie Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Twenty years later is was used for the Armageddon soundtrack, a movie that also stars Ben Affleck. We don’t know whether the cover by Gary Clark Jr. and Junkie XL will feature in Justice League, but it’s been used to awesome effect in the trailer.

THAT Cast THOSE Characters

We love a good standalone superhero movie, but it’s so much fun when they all come together (you see what we did there). Justice League gives us the chance to enjoy Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash come together (sorry). With their disparate personalities and powers we’re sure there will be lots of friendly friction and witty repartee to look forward to, all played with aplomb by an accomplished cast.

Wonder Woman

Speaking of cast and character, we’re still trying to decide which superhero we’re most excited about – especially considering that we’ve only seen brief glimpses of Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash so far. But let’s be just be honest about how much we can’t wait to watch the tough, talented, and gorgeous Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman again. Besides, her standalone movie has been the most successful DCEU instalment so far (critically, anyway), and we hope she can get the boys to get their acts together.

Aquaman

But we’re also really, really excited about Jason Momoa as Aquaman. This may have something to do with how much we love Game of Thrones and miss the mighty Khal Drogo. Justice League will give us the chance to watch apply Momoa apply his talent and prowess in a whole new way – this time with lots and lots of water and an equally awesome wife (i.e. Amber Heard as wife and Queen of Atlantis, Mera).

The Mystery of Clark Kent

So Superman’s dead, but Henry Cavill’s been seen at premieres, interviews, and in cast lists. Is this merely because he could be appearing in flashbacks or is there a secret afoot? We’ll have to wait and see.

The End

Stay until the end of the credits. Stay. Until. The. End. Of. The. Credits. We cannot stress this enough, because according to the cast, there’s a whole chunk of extra movie at the tail end of Justice League. So stay until the end.
