Are you watching the deadly crime thriller White Lies? Who did it? Who can you trust? What lies will unfold? Only time will tell. For now, here are some interesting facts about the show.
It took three months of preproduction, three months of actual shooting, and seven months of editing ... years of writing and planning. The crew shot for 12 hours a day. One hundred and twenty crew members worked on the show. Now that takes a lot of commitment and planning, and it is evident from the very first episode.
Makeup took 12 hours a day. Langley Kirkwood's makeup for Andrew's death scene took two hours. It was the longest scene to shoot because there was so much that had to be prepared ... including the blood.
The show has 107 speaking roles – and about another 200 extras! And one baboon! See if you can spot the little guy in the show.
Three languages are spoken in the show, with English being the main one. Stay tuned to hear the rest.
The show boasts 40 different locations including stunning landscapes and the beauty of Bishopscourt. The production crew said their favourite shooting location was Bishopscourt, because of all the beautiful houses and gardens. Their most challenging location to shoot was the pipe track on the mountain. This was because only a few people were allowed up and all the equipment had to be carried up by hand. It started raining while the scene was in progress, making it even more of a challenge.
