M-Net invites all DC Comics fans to dive into the dark and thrilling world of Gotham City with HBO’s highly anticipated fantasy-crime drama, The Penguin – Express from the US.
Starring Academy Award Nominee Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb (aka the Penguin), the eight-episode HBO original limited series continues the epic crime saga that filmmaker Matt Reeves began with the global blockbuster The Batman. This series delves deep into the master manipulator’s character and explores his transformation from a low-level criminal into one of Gotham’s most feared crime lords.
Earlier this year, Farrell spoke to Variety about the filming of the series: “It was a long and really wonderful experience. It’s dark; that’s what I can tell you about it. It’s really dark. It’s really heavy, I think – it certainly was while doing it. Which is not to say I didn’t have fun; I had an amazing time doing it. It’s incredibly violent. It’s one man’s rise to what he’s always dreamed of inhabiting, which is a certain power or social status.”
The series is created by Matt Reeves and Lauren LeFranc, who bring a fresh and thrilling perspective to the Batman universe.

It follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that becomes known as the Bene Gesserit.
