Episode 6 synopsis: Edie is recovering from her “accident” in hospital with Avi by her side – and he learns her secret. When she wants to discharge herself, he takes her to his home and tells her not to tell anyone where she is – but a menacing visitor arrives, unannounced.
A Daily Mercury feature – in which Daniel is portrayed as a racist – lands him in trouble at school and he turns to Edie for help. Just when their relationship seems to be healing, she tells him some startling home truths about his father, which set him on a new path.
Forty – struggling to keep his gambling addiction in check, along with his qualms about the McKenzie case – finds a number of obstacles conveniently removed from the investigation’s path and he decides to get to the bottom of things.
While Daniel and Jaime argue about his insistence on defending the McKenzie family name, an ominous shadow lurks nearby.
Meanwhile, Avi tells Edie some home truths about the effects of her behaviour on everyone around her.
