The Archieverse is expanding! With such a wealth of characters to draw from in Archie Comics, it’s hardly surprising. So while Riverdale heads into its fourth season on M-Net channel 101, a spin-off show starts a week later. It’s called Katy Keene and focuses on the young lady from which it takes its title. But Katy’s not the be all and end all of the show. Heading to NYC with Keene are a host of friends and rivals, including a familiar Riverdale face. Check them out below.
Katy Keene
Is she in the comic books? Yes; however, in the comic books she is a model, actress, and singer. In the show she’s an aspiring fashion designer.
Is she in Riverdale? Yes, she is introduced in a season 4 episode.
Who plays her? Lucy Hale, whom you may recognise from Pretty Little Liars.
Josie McCoy
Is she in the comic books? Yes, she’s the frontwoman of the band Josie and the Pussycats.
Is she in Riverdale? Yes, she appears in all four seasons so far.

Pepper Smith
Is she in the comic books? Yes, she features in Josie and the Pussycats as one of Josie’s friends.
Is she in Riverdale? No.
Played by: Julia Chan.
Jorge / Ginger Lopez
Is he in the comic books? Yes, however Ginger is a girl in the comic books. In the show, the character is a boy called Jorge Lopez and Ginger Lopez is his drag persona.
Is he in Riverdale? No; however there is a character called Ginger Lopez (played by Caitlin Mitchell-Markovitch) in the first season, but they are the same only in name.

Gloria Grandbilt
Is she in the comic books? Yes. In the comic books she is one of Katy’s friends, but in the show she is Katy’s boss.
Is she in Riverdale? No.

Alexander "Alex" Cabot
Is he in the comic books? Yes, although it seems like he may be a lot nicer than he is in the comic books.
Is he in Riverdale? No.

Alexandra "Xandra" Cabot
Is she in the comic books? Yes. As in the comic books, she is Alex’s sister and it seems like their comic book rivalry may be carried over into the show.

K.O. Kelly
Is he in the comic books? Yes, just like in the comic books, he is Katy’s boyfriend.
Is he in Riverdale? No.
