Kingdoms of Fire, Ice and Fairytales is an adventure quest captured by the two filmmakers of the internationally acclaimed, award-winning wildlife crime-thriller Stroop: Journey into the Rhino Horn War. In their new, very different documentary, they explore three of earth’s most epic wildernesses; spaces that inspire awe and wonder; places where one can feel what life was like a million years ago. Bonné de Bod and Susan Scott reveal the challenge of filming in these pristine spots – from temperatures bordering minus 20º in the Arctic Circle to the scalding thermal vents of Yellowstone’s supervolcano.
