A message from the Chairman
MultiChoice Zimbabwe was established in 1995 with the idea of using entertainment to change people’s lives. This sentiment still hold true today as MultiChoice is still rooted in Zimbabwe.
Guiding us in what we do, are our company values and leadership charter, CARE, CONNECT and CREATE. We CARE through doing what is best for everyone. Our customers and stakeholders are the lifeblood of our success. We employ 157 people and supports 176 accredited installers and 66 accredited agents with a total of 90 outlets combined, nationwide. These are the men and women who are passionate about bringing world-class viewing to the homes of all Zimbabweans.
We CONNECT with others and build lasting relationships through collaboration and clarity. Through our Free to Air partnerships, the DStv platform is now home to three local channels. These are 3Ktv, ZTN Prime and NRTV and offers Zimbabwean viewers access to the best local productions. These FTAs introduced an exciting era in Zimbabwe’s television space, further extending the reach of local content via the DStv platform.
In terms of CREATE, to further the production of exclusive local content, investments have been made through the MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF) social development initiative. Designed to upskill local filmmakers in all areas of TV and film production, the MTF has a dedicated academy in Lusaka, which has produced graduates doing very well in the creativity space Nobert Mapfoche, Rutendo Mahofa, Yvonne Feresu and Chimwemwe Chipidza.
As MultiChoice, we are committed to enriching the lives of our customers by consistently developing our products and services. Our Installer Ecosystem is a web-based application for DStv installer certification, installation scheduling, quality assurance and obtaining feedback concerning installations from customers. In combination with the MyDStv app, DStv Self-service on WhatsApp and the USSD code *899#, these innovations have made the lives of our customers that much easier - and our products that much more enjoyable.
